Oil free Chole


  • Boiled potato cubes-3/4 cup
  • Green chilli paste-2 tsp
  • Garlic paste-1 tbsp
  • Ginger paste-2 tsp
  • Chole masala-2 tbsp
  • Soaked and boiled kabuli chana-2 cups
  • Tomatoes-3 or 4 chopped
  • Black salt-1 tsp
  • Mango Powder(amchur)-1/2 tsp
  • Chopped coriander-1/4  cup
  • Dry methi leaves-1 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste


  1. Heat a non-stick pan on a medium flame,once the pan is hot add green chilli paste, garlic paste and ginger and dry roast for about 30 seconds while stirring continuously.
  2. Now add tomatoes and stir well let it cook till the tomatoes gets mushy,if the mixture starts burning add little water in it.
  3. Add chana masala, kabuli chana, potatoes, tomatoes, black salt, amchur powder, salt ,methi leaves and ½ cup of water and let it boil.
  4. Once done garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
