UPDATE: We are having to call off this giveaway because of SPAMMING and Illegal Practices being followed by a few of the participants. We came across people referring email addresses which were all gmail addresses created from the exact same IP address and with a definite pattern, with the aim of spamming the contest and winning the prize. Our SPAM team was able to investigate and find that these were email addresses created with the sole purpose of earning points and gaming the system. SPAMMING and Illegal Practices are not tolerable and hence we have decided to call off the giveaway. There are no winners for this Giveaway.
Another year is on the verge of bidding adieu and a new year is dawning upon us in a few hours from now. There will be a lot of things that you would have achieved in the last year and there would be a few goals that you would have missed.
But this is the point where, you should rejoice about every small achievement of yours in the last year and at the same time it is also the right time to revise your goals for the next year.
No goal is difficult. It is just a matter of deciding; deciding to have a go at it and not give up until you have achieved it. And that, you will achieve all of those goals.
One of my mentors had once talking about a dream of his and I asked, “what value does a dream have?”.
And he responded, “Dreams are what drives you. If you don’t dream, you will never have a goal in life. So dream and translate those dreams into goals”.
He was very particular about putting a date to his dreams. He had a huge drawing sheet stuck on one of the walls in his bedroom. He had a picture of a huge house, a dream car, a dream vacation and many more such things on it. And he had a date written on each of them.
He had many of these drawing sheets all around his house at places where he could constantly see it.
And in all the years that I saw him, I could see him achieving most of those dreams. Some of them a little later than he had thought he would. But, he did achieve those.
Something that I learnt from him is about putting a date to your dreams. This works and it really does.
Why?
Because you are committing to yourself to achieve it by that date. And as days pass, you tend to push yourself to achieving it. So, if you haven’t already then put up your dream sheet at a place where you will see it always and don’t forget to put a date to it.
