Breakfast is always one of the most important meals of the day. It should be able to supplement vital nutrients and be the major provider of carbs for the day to keep your energy up.

In another microwave safe bowl, heat 2 tsp. mustard seeds in 2tbsp oil for a minute. After this you can add onions, curry leaves, tomatoes, green chillies and ginger and microwave for 2-3 minutes stirring and moving the ingredients in between.

Add this mixture to the crumbled bread pieces and add tomato ketchup, lemon juice, salt and coriander and mix well. You can consume it immediately.

Pesto Sandwich


Pesto is a great Italian spread that can easily be prepared. Grind ¼ cashewnuts, ½ tsp. black pepper, ¼ cup of olive oil and ½ cup basil till it’s a smooth paste. Add 12 black olives if wanted and mix well and add salt to taste.

Carrot Dosa


This is a great take on the regular dosa. Combine 1 cup grated carrot, 1 cup rice flour, 1 tsp. sugar, 2 tsp. finely chopped green chillies, 5 tbsp. fresh curd and salt with 1 ¾ cup water. Mix will till you get a good consistency. On a non-stick tava apply some oil and pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it in a circle.
