Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or until it gets steamed well.
Switch off the gas, remove the cover, add freshly grated coconut and coriander leaves and mix.
So the Kanda Poha is ready to be served now.
Do not wash poha many times as it turns out soggy.
After washing strain out the water completely from the poha.
Addition of sugar is optional, in Maharashtra sugar is added in traditional poha recipe. Addition of sugar gives this recipe really a nice taste.
Do not use thin poha to make this recipe, instead pick thick poha.
Serve immediately once it is prepared, it turns out to be dry and does not tastes good.
