  • 3 cups beetroot grated
  • 4 cups full fat milk
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 3 tbsp ghee
  • 5-6 green cardamom powder
  • 20 whole cashew
  • 1 tbsp raisins


  1. In a deep bottomed pan, add milk and grated beetroot.
  2. Now keep the flame low to medium, bring the mixture to boil and then simmer. Keep on stirring at intervals.
  3. When you see that the milk has reduced to about 80%, add ghee and sugar to it.
  4. Stir well and continue to simmer and cook on a low flame.
  5. At last add cashew nuts, cardamom powder and raisins and again simmer till all the milk gets evaporated. Switch off the burner.
  6. Serve hot or cold.
