Wheat Based Paneer Roll Recipe

Paneer roll recipe is made with wheat-based paratha, layered with paneer stuffing. This is is good to pack for a kid's lunch box recipe.

Ingredients

  • 3 Onion thinly sliced
  • 1 Tomato ‚ÄĆfinely chopped
  • 1 Capsicum sliced
  • 6-7 pods Garlic crushed
  • 1 inch Ginger crushed
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • Red Chilli Powder to taste
  • Hing a pinch
  • 1 tsp Amchur Powder
  • 1 tsp Kasturi Methi
  • 2-3 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Small Carrot grated
  • 2-3 Green Chilli chopped
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp Sauce
  • 300 gms Paneer

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan over low flame.
  2. Add onion and saute until it turns light brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute until the raw smell of ginger garlic goes off.
  4. Add a pinch of hing and stir.
  5. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and garam masala powder.
  6. Saute on low flame until the spices turn aromatic.
  7. Now add tomato and salt to it, stir well.
  8. Cook until the tomatoes gets well cooked and the oil separates.
  9. Now add paneer and capsicum, give it a nice mix.
  10. Now add amchur powder and kasturi methi and cook for about 2-3 minutes. (do not over-cook otherwise the crunchiness of capsicum will go)
  11. Once done, turn off the flame.
  12. So the stuffing is ready.
  13. In a bowl add mayonnaise and tomato sauce and mix well. Set aside.
  14. Place one paratha and spread the mixture of mayonise and sauce evenly.
  15. Now put one portion of filling in the center and spread it lengthwise.
  16. Top with some sliced onion, grated carrot and green chilli.
  17. Also top with some more mayonnaise to make it more creamy.
  18. Now roll tightly, ensuring the stuffing does not come out.
  19. So the paneer roll is ready to be served.

Recipe Notes

To make roll, it is good to make big paratha's.
