as needed to make a medium thick batter
Mustard Oil
to deep fry
Instructions
Cut the bread into two halves or in a triangle shape and set aside.
Filter the gram flour and take it out in a big bowl.
Add water and make a paste which is neither too thick nor too loose (no lumps either).
Now add ajwain, turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves, green chili, onion and crushed garlic. Mix well.
Add crushed garlic.
Heat oil in the frying pan.
Dip each slice of the bread in gram flour paste and put it in the hot oil. (at a time you can fry 2 to 3 bread pieces)
Fry both the sides on a medium flame until golden brown.
Once done take it out on kitchen paper towels to drain excess oil.
Repeat the same steps with all the bread pieces. Fry from both the sides.
Your delicious Bread Pakoras are ready now.
Serve hot along with coriander chutney, tomato ketchup or tamarind chutney.
