Chatpata kala chana chaat is a healthy Indian snack made with boiled black chana, fresh vegetables, green chutney, and spices. Easy to make, protein rich, and perfect for evening hunger.
Add soaked kala chana, water, and salt to a pressure cooker.
Cook for 4–5 whistles until the chana is soft but not mushy. Drain and keep aside.
For the green chutney, blend coriander leaves, garlic, salt, and water into a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan. Add boiled kala chana.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder.
Roast on medium heat for 4–5 minutes until the spices coat the chana well.
In a mixing bowl, combine roasted kala chana, onion, potato, cucumber, tomato, and green chillies.
Add green chutney, chaat masala, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve immediately.
Notes
Do not overcook the kala chana.Adjust spice and lemon juice according to taste.Skip potato for a more protein-rich version or if you are on strict weight loss journey.
