1 cup Milk
1 tbsp Sugar
3 1/2 tsp Yeast
1 tbsp salt
1/2 cup water
3 cup maida

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the lukewarm milk, sugar, and yeast. Stir and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
To the yeast mixture, add flour and salt and gradually mix.
Combine well until a soft dough forms.(ensure that the salt doesn't come directly in contact with the yeast mixture)
Transfer the dough onto a platform and Knead the dough for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes stretchy and glutens forms.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Punch down the dough and divide it into 8 equal parts. Cover the shaped dough with a damp cloth and let it rise again for about 30 minutes.
Roll each part into a ball and then flatten into a circle, about ¼ inch thick.
Oven Method: Preheat your oven to 270°C .
Place the rolled-out dough on the baking sheet OR tray and bake for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until puffed and lightly golden.
Stovetop Method: Heat a skillet over high heat and cook each pita for about 30 seconds to 1 minute per side, or until puffed and spots begin to brown.
