Makhana Dry Fruits Namkeen Snack Recipe also known as fox nuts and lotus seeds is a healthy snack recipe that can be consumed on fasting during Navratri.

  • 2 Cup Lotus Seeds makhana, fox nuts
  • 1/4 cup Peanuts
  • 1/4 cup Cashew Nuts
  • 1/4 cup Almonds
  • 1/4 cup Raisins
  • 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/2 Tsp Dry Mango Powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Rock Salt
  • 1 Green Chilli Chopped
  • a few Curry Leaves
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee


  • Heat a pan, add ghee to it.
  • Now add peanut, cashew nuts, almond, curry leaves, and green chili.
  • Fry all of these for 2-3 minutes or until you see the curry leaves have become crispy and the cashew nuts are slightly brown and toasted. (Keep stirring while roasting
  • Now take it out in a plate and set aside.
  • Now in the same pan add raisins to it and fry for few seconds and take it out in a plate and set aside.
  • Again in the same pan add makhana to it and fry stirring continuously, until it gets roasted and become crispy.
  • Keep the flame low and add the dry fruits mixture and fried raisins to it.
  • Add black pepper, rock salt, and amchur powder and give everything a nice mix. So that everything is coated well to the makhana and nuts.
  • So the instant Dry Fruit Makhana Namkeen is ready to be served now. You can store it in an airtight container, It stays good for a week or so.
