Gun powder dosaMini Dosa is one of the easiest recipe for your kids lunch box.It is very easy to make . You can store this dosa batter for at least for one week ,since it doesn’t get spoil easily.

Kids lunch box idea is something that every mother is hunting for.It is extremely challenging at times to make your kids eat it.
Today I tried this recipe for my daughter and i was surprised to see that she had finished her lunch box.
The only thing that you need to keep in mind with this recipe is to let them cool down before packing it for lunch, otherwise it will become saggy.

Ingredients to make Dosa Batter :-

  • Idli Rice – 3 cup
  • Split black gram (urad dal) – 1 cup
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) – 1 tsp

How to make batter :-

  1. Soak rice, dal and methi dana for about 6 hours.
  2. Then grind them to a fine thin batter by adding little water.
  3. Add salt to it and mix well.
  4. Leave the batter covered for about 12 hours for fermentation.
  5. After fermenting mix the batter well.
  6. Now the batter is ready to make dosa.

  • Dosa Batter – 1 cup
  • Gun Powder – as required
  • Ghee/oil – as required

Gun powder dosaHow to make gun powder dosa :-

  1. Heat dosa pan and grease it with little oil or ghee .
  2. When the pan is hot, make little dosa by dropping just a spoonful of batter . (you can make 6-7 mini dosa at a time)
  3. Now sprinkle some gun powder over the mini dosa.
  4. When one side of the mini dosa turns brown, turn it to other side and apply some ghee or oil.
  5. Transfer mini dosa to plate.
