In this blog post, I will show you how to make aam ka murabba easily. Aam ka Murabba or Aam ka meetha achar is a sweet and tangy mango preserve made from unripe green mangoes.
Aam ka Murabba goes really well with paratha, poori, or roti. (Step-by-Step-Recipe-Video)
About Aam ka Murabba:
Aam ka Murabba is made with Mangoes and sugar, and then spiced with some cardamom powder, cinnamon sticks, and saffron.
For this recipe mangoes and sugar, both are heated until they reach a jam-like consistency, and you get a finger-licking sweet-sour preserve.
It’s also a great addition to chapatis while packing the tiffin box. Murabba can also be served as a side dish with a North Indian meal.
Murabba can be served as a dessert as well, especially when you are craving some sweetness and you are not in the mood to make some.
This is the easiest recipe you can make this season. The only difficult part is grating the unripe mangoes. So I would suggest making a small batch.
I have also prepared Aam ka Chunda last week, in case you missed it, you can check it out HERE.
Serving Suggestion:
Aam ka Murabba is sweet, tangy, and full of flavor. Here are a few delicious ways to enjoy it:
Spread on hot parathas or chapatis
As a sweet side with puri-sabzi or dal-chawal
With curd rice or khichdi for a hint of sweetness
As a quick snack with a spoon—straight from the jar!
Kids also love it with toast or inside lunchbox rolls
Storage Suggestion:
To store your Aam ka Murabba properly and keep it fresh for months:
Store in a clean, dry glass jar with a tight lid
Always use a dry spoon to avoid spoilage
Keep the jar in a cool, dry place or in the refrigerator
If stored well, it can last up to 6–8 months
Just make sure there’s no moisture in the jar or spoon.
Pro Tips for Perfect Mango Murabba Recipe :
Use fully raw mangoes for best taste and texture
Add a few strands of saffron or cardamom powder for extra flavor
Let it cool completely before transferring it to a jar
