Ingredients
- 1 cup Kodo Millet varagu
- 1/2 cup Peanut
- 2 nos Cardamom
- 1 cup Powdered Jaggery
- 1/2 cup Ghee + 1 tsp to roast cashew
- 10-15 nos Cashews broken and chopped
Instructions
- Rinse the millet in cold water until the water runs clear to remove any dust or grit.
- Transfer the kodo millet in the strainer, draining excess water.
- Keep the strainer in a bowl and let it sit for some time so that the water drains completely.
- Now roast the kodo millet in a dry pan on low flame for about 5 minutes, stirring often until it turns a shade darker and releases a mild, nutty aroma.
- Now in the same pan add peanut and dry roast on low flame. Let it cool down.
- Now add kodo millet, peanut and cardamom in a mixer grinder jar and grind to a fine powder.
- Now add powdered jaggery.
- Add some chopped cashew (roasted in ghee). Mix well.
- Add ghee to it. Mix well so that everything is well combined.
- Now start preparing laddu using your hand.
- So the healthy and delicious kodo millet laddu is ready to serve.
