Roti Nachos Recipe is an Indianized fusion version of Nachos and is made using Leftover Rotis. This is an ideal Lunch Box recipe for kids and a great tea time snack.
Only five more days left to go.
And this time too will go away in the blink of an eye.
Today, when I am writing this post, do you know what’s in my mind?
That at this time next week, we will be in Bangalore.
After staying here for so many days with my parents and siblings this time, it will be even more difficult to go away from here leaving them behind. I am feeling very low today. 🙁
Haah, I think I should take a deep breath…
Because this is all part of life.
We will go back, only then we will come again. Isn’t it????
Anyways…
Independence day is also over.
By the way, this time Independence Day was very different from every year.
Did not think that we will ever celebrate Independence Day like this!
A Virtual Independence Day!!!
Thanks to our technology………..
In this situation when everyone is locked in their houses and missing face to face interaction.
At least because of technology people can meet and interact with each other.
We were happy to see that kids and office goers alike, all celebrated “Online Independence Day”.
I know the physical connection is still missing, but you see, getting connected with many people online, at a time still means a lotttt…
Something is better than nothing. Right???
So again I would say, try to avoid social gathering as much as possible until this pandemic gets over or we get some concrete solution to get over it.
So let us all pray together for real Independence, Mask Free Independence…
I think I spoke too much and I should stop here and head over to this week’s recipe.
How to Make Nachos with Leftover Roti
As the name suggests, these nachos recipe are made of leftover roti. Leftover Roti Nachos is a great way to use the leftover roti or chapati.
The combination of nachos and salsa is a good tea time snack or munching snack for all, You can serve the nachos with any type of salsa of your choice.
My daughter loves nachos. In fact, who doesn’t?
The first time we had Nachos at PVR, I got shocked in the first place after seeing it’s pricing.
We bought Nachos in a Movie Hall only twice, after that I stopped buying it. I think it’s a complete waste of money.
We can have a proper one time meal for the amount of money that we will spend on eating only a snack.
And I made my daughter also understand the price difference of Nachos we get in the movie hall and outside.
There is no harm in making your kids understand how to value Money.
After that, I started buying packet nachos which I started giving in her snack box. In this way, the frequency of eating nachos increased very much.
Which was again no good for health. And I personally avoid packaged food.
And that is how the process of making Nachos from the Leftover roti began.
Why only leftover Rotis?
Because leftover rotis are dry hence when we fry them they become more crispy and crunchy.
So whenever, we have leftover rotis, I prefer to make these nachos because it is really easy to make. And the best part is that the leftover rotis get over in a snap of the finger.
Kids Happy and Mom double Happy!
Leftover Roti Nachos can be served along with Mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or salsa of your choice.
Unlike the original Mexican dish Nachos which is made with corn tortillas, this leftover Roti Nachos is an attempt to create a Fusion recipe that brings the look and taste of the original Nachos but has an Indian touch to it.
