Serving Suggestion:

These chocolate-covered strawberry yogurt bites are perfect for a sweet snack or dessert. Just make sure that you are serving them chilled.

Storage Suggestion:

You can store these Chocolate-covered strawberry yogurt clusters in the refrigerator, it generally stays good for 2-3 days. You may freeze them as well for a more ice-cream-like consistency.

However, the strawberries do get a bit hard and may be tough for younger kids to eat. So in that case what you can do is to keep it outside for 5 minutes, and then serve.

Pro Tips:

Baking Sheet: Make sure to line your baking sheet or container with parchment paper before freezing the clusters. This prevents the yogurt bites from sticking on a baking tray or container and also makes it easier to remove them without any mess.

Size of Clusters: Scoop small tablespoon-sized clusters so they freeze faster and are more manageable for dipping in chocolate.

Melting Chocolate: Use a small, deep bowl to melt the chocolate so there is enough depth for easily coating the frozen yogurt clusters.

Chocolate Dipping: Make sure the yogurt clusters are fully frozen before coating them in chocolate for best results.

Coconut Oil: Make sure to add the coconut oil – it helps create a smooth, thin chocolate consistency that is perfect for dipping the frozen yogurt clusters.

Dip in batches: To prevent melting, only remove a few frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer at a time for dipping in chocolate. Take out 3-4 clusters, quickly dip them in the melted chocolate, and immediately place them back in the freezer before taking the next few yogurt clusters to coat. Doing small batches prevents the yogurt from becoming soft and messy before dipping.

Basic Ingredients Used to Make this Recipe:

Strawberries: The star of this show is some delicious strawberries! You will want to use fresh, ripe strawberries for this recipe. You can easily customize these clusters by substituting the strawberries for other fruits such as raspberries, blueberries, mangoes, or any fruit of your choice.

Yogurt/HungCurd: In addition to the chopped strawberries, you’ll need plain yogurt. But if you want you can also use flavored yogurt like strawberry or vanilla.

Honey: Honey brings a touch of natural sweetness to balance out the tanginess of the yogurt in these healthy clusters. Feel free to add more honey if you prefer them sweeter.

Chocolate: I have used dairy milk and white chocolate for coating. If you want you can use choco-chips or dark chocolate. So feel free to use any type of chocolate you’d like to use.

Coconut Oil: The coconut oil thins out the chocolate, resulting in a perfectly smooth, thin coating on the clusters.

Note: To make a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey, a plant-based yogurt, and dairy-free dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips. With these simple swaps, this recipe can easily be made vegan-friendly. Also If you’re looking to reduce the sugar content of these chocolate-covered strawberry yogurt clusters, there are a few simple changes you can make.

For instance, you can skip the honey and use no sugar-added chocolate chips instead. You could also use less chocolate, adding just a drizzle on top, or none at all. These modifications will help you enjoy these clusters without compromising on taste or nutrition.
