About Oats and Chocos Instant Energy Bites

I have used Oats in this recipe because of the fiber content that it provides. I have used Chocos, but you can use Corn Flakes as well if you prefer.

Oats and Cornflakes are part of my daily breakfast and hence I prefer using them in most of my energy bites.

The overall making time for this recipe would hardly be about 10 minutes and you can store it and use it for up to 3-4 days. You can store it in the refrigerator for a longer shelf life.

Actuallyyyy……

I have always been a fan of fitness. Whenever I could find time, I would spend about 30 minutes doing Yoga or, just dancing in my room.

So when it came to joining a gym and working out, my obvious choice was aerobics.

Why?

I would never get bored if it had anything to do with dancing to one of your favorite dance numbers. I feel terrific when I dance to my favorite tune. And when I am dancing I would keep everything aside and dance.

I am not a great dancer though. I have always believed that to dance, you do not need to be a good dancer. You just need to know how to tap your feet to the beats. And if you can do that, you can dance.

Forget about everything around you. Forget what people around you might think about you and your dance. Just listen to the music and dance.

The 30 minutes I used to spend dancing (whenever I had time) helped me stay fit and flexible. I was able to get rid of the stiffness in my body and that in turn made me more confident.

So eventually, I decided I would join an aerobics class and I did join one a few months back. One hour of sweat and workout and you feel so good throughout the day.

Something that I realized after I joined aerobics was the need to plan my diet. I had to supplement my body with energy but at the same time, I had to ensure that I was not eating junk.

And that is where my quest for energy foods started.

One such thing that I keep making as part of these energy foods is energy bites. And today’s recipe is one such energy bite that is quick to make and you can just pop 2 of that into your mouth if you feel hungry.

So let us quickly jump straight into this protein bites recipe.

Energy Bites

Basic Ingredients Used To Make These Protein Bites Recipe:

Oats: Oats are a nutritious base ingredient, providing a good amount of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. They help with sustained energy release, making these bites an excellent snack for long-lasting energy.

Oats also add a pleasant texture and help bind the ingredients together.

Chocos: Chocos add a light sweetness and crunch to the bites, making them more enjoyable for kids and adults alike. They also contribute to the chocolate flavor, making the energy bites feel like a treat while still being nutritious.

Peanut Butter: Peanut butter is the primary binding ingredient that holds the bites together. It also adds a rich, creamy texture along with healthy fats and protein, making the energy bites more filling and satisfying.

The natural protein in peanut butter supports muscle recovery, making this an ideal post-workout snack.

Roasted Sesame Seeds: Sesame seeds bring a nutty flavor and a slight crunch to the bites, along with added nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and healthy fats.

Roasting enhances their flavor and helps balance the sweetness of the chocos and honey.

Honey: Honey acts as a natural sweetener, adding a mild sweetness to the bites. It also works as a secondary binder to help the oats and other dry ingredients stick together.

Honey is rich in antioxidants, making it a healthier choice than refined sugars.
