About Mint Kachori Recipe:

Kachoris are a popular Indian snack loved for their crispy, flaky texture and delicious flavor.

This Pudina Kachori is a unique version where all the ingredients, including fresh mint, are mixed directly into the dough, eliminating the need for a separate filling.

The result is an easy-to-make, flavor-packed snack that is perfect for any time of the day.

I’m a big fan of kachoris, and I love making them at least once a week. They’re so versatile that you can enjoy them at any meal.

What makes kachoris ideal for busy mornings is their simplicity. You only need a few ingredients, and they pair so well with pickle for a quick breakfast.

There’s no hassle of preparing a separate filling—just mix, knead, and fry! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced cook, this recipe guarantees delicious results every time.

And when it comes to lunch or dinner, serve them with aloo ka bhujia, gobhi aloo bhujia, chole, cholar dal or aloo ki sabzi to create a hearty, satisfying meal.

This versatility is what makes kachoris so loved in Indian households. Once you try this Mint Flavored Kachori recipe, it’s sure to become a favorite in your kitchen too.

So let us jump on How to make mint kachori at home with my easy to make step by step recipe.

Serving Suggestion:

Serve pudina kachori hot with tamarind chutney or green chutney made with mint and coriander.

Pair with a cup of hot masala chai for a perfect snack.

For a more filling meal, serve the kachoris with aloo sabzi (potato curry), chole, or even a simple raita.

Storage Suggestion:

Pudina kachori stays good for a day or two in a room temperature. You can refrigerate but it doesn’t taste good.

Pro Tips for Best Pudina Kachori:

Flaky Dough: Ensure the ghee is well mixed into the flour before adding water to get the perfect flaky texture.

Rest the Dough: Allowing the dough to rest makes it easier to work with and results in softer kachoris.

Frying Temperature: Fry the kachoris on medium heat to ensure they cook evenly and don’t brown too quickly.

Fresh Mint: Always use fresh mint leaves for the best flavor and aroma.

Don’t Worry About Puffing: If some kachoris don’t puff up, don’t worry. Sometimes a mint stem might get mixed into the dough, preventing the kachori from puffing.

However, this won’t affect the taste, and they’ll still be delicious.

Perfect Puffing: For perfectly puffed kachoris, ensure the mint leaves are finely chopped, and the stems are completely removed.

However, this can be a tedious task, especially if you’re short on time. Since the taste remains the same, you can skip this hassle if you prefer convenience.

Why You Should Make this Indian Mint Snack Recipe:

Burst of Freshness: The mint (pudina) adds a refreshing and aromatic twist to the traditional kachori, making it stand out from regular fried snacks.

Crispy & Flavorful: With a perfectly crispy outer layer and a flavorful, spiced filling, this kachori is a delight in every bite.

Perfect for Any Occasion: Whether it’s a festive gathering, a tea-time snack, or a special weekend breakfast, Pudina Kachori is a crowd-pleaser.

Great for Meal Prep: These kachoris stay fresh for a day or two, making them a great make-ahead snack for busy schedules.

Pairs Wonderfully with Chutneys: Serve it with tamarind chutney, spicy green chutney, or even a side of yogurt for a complete experience.

Frequently Asked Question About this Mint Flavored Kachori:

Can I use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour?

Yes, you can use whole wheat flour (atta) for a healthier version, but the kachoris may be slightly less crispy compared to those made with all-purpose flour (maida).

Why did my kachoris turn soft instead of crispy?

This happen if the dough was too soft, or there was less water while kneading. Also if the oil temperature was too high. Always fry on medium-low heat for even crispiness.

Can I use dried mint (pudina) instead of fresh mint?

Yes, you can use dried mint powder, but fresh mint gives a stronger and fresher flavor. If using dried mint, add 1-2 teaspoons in the dough or filling.

How do I prevent kachoris from becoming too oily?

Ensure the oil is at the right temperature (medium-hot).
Do not fry at very low heat, as kachoris will absorb more oil. Drain excess oil on paper towels after frying.
