Who doesn’t like a milk shake? I still remember one of those ads that we saw as kids, which showed a FREE shake bottle along with Nescafe. And we as kids were so impressed and did everything possible to convince our parents to buy it. Being a tea-drinking family, coffee was not a preferred drink at home. But finally they agreed. And by the time they agreed, the offer was gone and we felt as if we missed winning a lottery by a whisker.
The easiest form of shake that we could make as kids was either a coffee shake or, a milk shake. Add a few ice cubes into the milk, put a couple of teaspoons of the chocolate health drink and whip it in the mixer and there it was. A cool frothy milk shake. And if it was a coffee shake, we had to go to the store, buy a small pack of coffee and then make the shake. But the efforts were worth it though.
I grew up in the northern part of India where the summers are extremely hot and at times the temperature touches 42-43 degrees Celsius. The kind of heat that cities like Delhi and Bhagalpur (the city where I was born) experiences, it is obvious that a cold milk shake would be the most sought after drink. You could find a lot of small shops selling these shakes and juices coming up near most food joints during the summers. It is during these summers that their business thrives. As soon as the summers as gone, these shops wind up, and these guys go on the lookout for some other jobs or, businesses.
Bangalore is not that hot, but we still prefer a cold shake in the summers. And since Summers are the time for ripe mangoes, we have all the reasons for making a cold mango shake.
But it is not Mango shake that I am making today. Instead this is a shake that is full of energy. I haven’t seen a lot of people liking it but I can tell you for sure that this is one tasty shake that I prefer making anytime during the year. So let me show you how to make banana shake.
