If you prefer a slightly richer taste, then this recipe is just right for you. By just following the below-mentioned tips and tricks, you can make the perfect lassi at home in just no time.

Choose Ripe Mangoes: When making this recipe, it’s best to choose ripe mangoes with lots of pulp. Ripe mangoes will give your lassi a naturally sweet and strong flavor. For today’s recipe, I’m using Mallika mango.

Additionally, keep in mind that the color of your lassi may vary depending on the type of mango you use.

Use Thick Yogurt: If you want a smooth and velvety texture, use thick and creamy curd. If the curd is not thick, you can strain it using a cheesecloth or a fine-mesh sieve to remove excess liquid. Or you can use it just like that, in case you are looking for thin lassi.

  • 2 cups Mangoes chopped, sweet, pulpy mango variety
  • 4 to 5 tbsp Sugar or honey add as required, optional
  • 2 cups Curd cold or chilled
  • 2-3 tbsp Malai from curd
  • 4 to 5 ice cubes optional


  • Rinse, peel, and chop the mangoes.
  • In a blender or mixer, add chopped mangoes with chilled curd and sugar.

  • Make a smooth puree without any finer chunks of mangoes in it.
  • Blend until all the ingredients are mixed well, evenly and the yogurt has become smooth.
  • If you prefer a slightly thin consistency add some milk or water while blending.
  • Serve in a glass, top it up with some chopped mangoes little malai from curd, and a few ice cubes.
