About Raw Mango Sattu Drink Recipe:
Healthy Sattu Drink is a simple recipe from Bihar that helps cool you down in the summer. It’s getting more popular because sattu is now known as a superfood.
Sattu is full of insoluble fiber and other important nutrients, It cools the body and is good for your stomach, hair, and skin.
Drinking a glass of summer sattu drink is very healthy. It fills you up for a long time, has few calories, and is good for people with diabetes because it has a low glycemic index.
It’s also a great choice if you’re trying to lose weight because it’s low in calories.
Every morning, I love drinking a glass of Sattu Sharbat on an empty stomach because it’s good for my health.
And yes, it also reminds me of my childhood.
Sattu ka sharbat, aam panna, and bael ka sharbat were the three drinks my mom used to make during summer to beat the heat.
Roasted Bengal gram flour, known as Chana Sattu, is a must-have in every Bihari kitchen. Sattu comes in various types but my personal favorite is chana sattu. Which I’m using in today’s recipe.
Known as “poor man’s food,” sattu is a nutritious meal that originated in Bihar.
Usually, people buy “sattu flour” for making dishes, but today I decided to make chana sattu at home for this summer sattu drink.
When making the flour, I chose not to remove the husk to avoid waste, even though this might result in a different color from the usual bright yellow found in store-bought sattu.
Keeping the husk intact can increase the fiber content and nutritional value of the sattu, although some prefer to remove it for a smoother texture and lighter flavor.
So now let’s jump into today’s recipe, called the summer sattu drink also known as sattu sharbat..
Previously, I shared three more ways of making sattu ka sharbat. You might want to check them out here.
